Bullying in Academic Institutions The chosen topic is bullying in academic institutions. Bullying in academic institutions is a type of bullying that occurs in an educational setting. It can take many forms, including physical, verbal, emotional, and cyberbullying. Bullying in academic institutions can harm the victim’s academic performance and mental health. It can also lead to truancy and absenteeism. There are several reasons why bullying occurs in educational institutions (Negi, 2021). These include a lack of adult supervision, a lack of clear rules and consequences for bullying, and a culture of bullying that is tolerated or even encouraged by some adults. Several things can be done to prevent and address bullying in academic institutions. These include developing clear policies and procedures, increasing adult supervision, and providing support and counseling for victims of bullying. Bullying in academic institutions is a serious problem that can harm the lives of those who experience it. This research will explore why bullying occurs in educational institutions and how it can be prevented or addressed. By better understanding the problem of bullying in academic institutions, we can create a safer and more favorable environment for everyone involved. Victims of bullying often suffer from severe intellectual and emotional problems (Mahmoudi & Keashly,2021). Bullying can also lead to violence and suicide. Bullying can have a negative impact on the social and emotional development of young people. My thesis statement is that bullying in educational institutions is a significant problem that needs to be addressed.
