Often you do see same-sex parents spend more time with the child verse an opposite sex parents. I don’t agree with the article of the “after parents’ divorce” when it mentioned. “The result is the common custody plan where infants and toddlers whose parents separate only get to see their dads two hours at a time, two days a week. I say that because parenting can be divided within both parents. From splitting the days through the week to continue co-parenting to the dad being grated weekly or every other week. So it really depends on the agreement both parts and or the judge makes,

The NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct I will utilize is building that support foundation and accepting all. Body language and face expressions show people what to expect from you. Giving them that warm parenting feeling all children look for, treat them like my own; especially when it comes to protecting them.

A strategy I know that I will implement is using that come/school connection. Find out what it is they like best to do at home and come up with ways I can make it educational into the classroom. And maybe at least once at the end of each quarter we can have a luncheon in the class and discuss ways to make education more fun. This way parents are familiar with each other and we want to feel comfortable and just share thought. Feedback is what makes a difference.
